How Rewosh works
Sportswear can look clean after washing, but the moment you start moving again the familiar smell is back. Rewosh Sport Wash is developed for the stubborn odour in sportswear that normal washing leaves behind.
In three steps
Load
Put your sportswear in the machine. Keep the drum loosely filled, so water and detergent can move freely between the garments. Turn clothing inside out where you can.
Dose
One 10 gram scoop per wash. Two scoops for stubborn odour or a full drum.
Wash
Follow the care label on your garment. Rewosh works from 30 °C, so you can keep the temperature low wherever the label allows it.

Rewosh replaces your regular detergent for sportswear. Do not use fabric softener, it blocks the effect.

Dissolve in hand-warm water, leave to soak for 30 minutes and then wash as usual.
A 500 gram pack is good for 50 washes at 10 grams per wash. That is €0.30 per wash.
Caring for technical fabrics
What helps
Wash sportswear soon after training, rather than leaving it damp in your bag.
Close zips and hook-and-loop fastenings so they do not catch on mesh panels.
Turn clothing inside out.
Air dry where the care label allows it.
What to avoid
Fabric softener, which leaves a film on technical fibres and blocks the effect of Rewosh.
An overfilled drum, which stops clothing rinsing out properly.
High temperatures with elastane and membrane fabrics.
The tumble dryer for anything whose label says not to.
Questions
Use
How much do I use, and where does the powder go?
One 10 gram scoop for a normal sports wash, two scoops for clothing where the smell has settled in or for a full drum. Put the powder straight into the drum, before you add the laundry. That works better at low temperatures, because the powder goes into the water immediately. The main wash compartment works too.
Does it replace my regular detergent, or do I use it alongside?
Instead of. Rewosh is a complete detergent for sportswear, not an additive.
What temperature should I wash at?
Always follow the care label on your garment. The formula is made to work from 30 °C, so you can wash low wherever the label allows it. Warmer is possible, but with sportswear that is rarely wise.
Why no fabric softener?
Fabric softener leaves a thin film on the fibre. That blocks the effect of the enzymes and also costs you breathability in technical fabrics, which is exactly the property you paid for.
How long should I pre-soak?
Dissolve two scoops in hand-warm water, leave your clothing in it for about 30 minutes and then wash as usual. I would not soak for longer than an hour: it adds nothing and increases the chance of colours fading.
Can I wash ordinary clothing with it?
Yes, Rewosh is simply a detergent. But then you spread the dose across more garments, so it works less well on your sportswear. Better to run your kit separately.
Results
Will it get the smell out of clothing that has stunk for months?
Often yes, but expect more than one wash. Start with a soak: two scoops in hand-warm water, half an hour, then wash. If you notice no difference after two or three goes, the odour has settled so deep into the fibre that you probably will not get it out.
Does it help with musty towels?
Yes, the cause is the same: fatty residue and bacteria in a fibre that is often damp. Use the same dose for towels and terry.
Suitability
Can I use it on wool and merino?
We would advise against it. Rewosh contains enzymes that break down proteins, and wool is a protein fibre. For merino, use a detergent made specifically for it.
And on waterproof jackets, such as Gore-Tex?
Also no. For membranes and water-repellent finishes you are better off with a product made for that coating. Rewosh is meant for the clothing you wear underneath.
Does it fade colours?
The bleach in Rewosh is sodium percarbonate, which releases oxygen rather than chlorine. That is considerably gentler on colours. If you are unsure about a dark or bright garment, test it first on a small area on the inside, and do not soak for longer than an hour.

Does it contain fragrance?
Yes. The fragrances give a fresh scent after washing.
What is in it?
Enzymes (subtilisin, alpha-amylase and lipase) aimed at proteins, starch and fats, sodium percarbonate with TAED that becomes active from low temperatures, and surfactants that lift and carry away fat. The full ingredient list is on the pack and on the product page.
How should I store it?
Dry and closed. Sodium percarbonate attracts moisture, and powder that clumps dissolves less well. So not next to the washing machine on a damp floor, but in a cupboard.
